JPEG File Example |
JPEG files are best used for pictures or designs that have a high number of colors. Despite the space-saving compression offered through this format, these files can still be large. By providing thumbnail pictures, smaller images that link to the original files, viewers can decide if they want to wait to see a file based on their quickloading counterparts.
Also, under an option called progressive, files can be made to load gradually until the file eventually loads to its entirety. This feature lessens user frustration when waiting for graphics to load.
