Web designers like Lynch & Horton (2001) all agree text must be justified consistently throughout a page. Web pages should adopt an alignment strategy and stick with it for headlines and body. The types of alignment are:
- Left-Justified
All text and headlines are aligned to the left and allow a jagged edge to stream to the right of the page.
- Right-Justified
All text and headlines are aligned to the right and a jagged left edge streams to the left of the page.
- Centered
All text and headlines are aligned to the center and jagged lines stream to both to the left and the right of the page.
